15 eager walkers made the most of the dry weather and reasonable warmth for a circular walk ro Skenfrith on the English/South Wales border. Having made our way across beautiful countryside to the wonderful Skenfirth Castle, and being photographed for the Telegraph newspaper en-route, the group enjoyed a few sharp inclines and wooded glades, completing the third part of the '3 Castles Walk'.
Jon and his pooch, Max, kept us informed as to all the places of note, and we enjoyed a picnic lunch in the castle ruins, the highlight of the walk. On returning to our cars, some could not resist a small adult beverage in the Garway Moon Inn. A really lovely late summer walk.
