A sunny but breezy day greeted those who made the trip down narrow country lanes to the start of Chris T’s latest trek on Clee Liberty. After the first gentle climb the group were rewarded with fine views in every direction.
On leaving the common the group was offered water by two nice ladies waiting for fell runners to arrive in 10 minutes. The group set off slowly so as not to miss the mud splattered Lycra clad young men, sadly our progress was faster than theirs and our paths never crossed.
The next climb was longer, steeper, up a stream and muddy, but we made it to the top and to enjoy lunch and more magnificent views. The wind blew but the rain showers stayed away. We returned to the cars via a hill fort, tired but exhilarated.
