Thirteen members braved a dreich day out and about around the North Cotswold villages of Tysoe, Epwell and Winderton on a 9 mile walk lead by our lovely Andrew Walker.
A respectful two minutes silence was observed on this Remembrance Sunday before we set off.
Our first ascent took us up to the windmill overlooking Tysoe and it’s surrounds including Brailes Hill and Lord Northampton’s estate at Compton Wynyates
Down the hill and across muddy fields on to our coffee break at the beautiful example of Victorian architecture by William Smith, Winderton Church.
Lunch was taken huddled away from the wind blasts on The Warren before our descent into the pretty village of Epwell and the loop back to Tysoe for a welcome pint at the Peacock Inn.
