What a stunner of a day. Glorious weather, the stimulating company of 20 GOCers and the beautiful views from and over a blustery Cleave Common.
This 7 mile walk took us gradually upwards to the dominating communication towers for a quick coffee break then over to the eerie Neolithic long barrow at Belas Knap with its ancient burial chambers.
Following on along the Cotswold Way via a steep decent to the Jacobean Manor House at Postlip, a former commune nestled in its own picturesque valley.
Finally onto the Rising Sun for a late lunch, bevvie and an opportunity to put the world to rights and reflect on the day. Bliss.
Many thanks to all those who came and made the day.
