Raglan, Castle and Countryside

Despite the forecast, a group of brave souls and their faithful companions braved it, and as it happened, escaped everything the weather had threatened, to enjoy a really pleasant circular walk around the beautiful Monmouthshire countryside.

Starting out from the village of Raglan, we enjoyed some hidden gems including a 5 foot high, 14th century border marker stone, hidden in the undergrowth, and the remains of medieval fish-ponds, before moving on to the wonderful and impressive remains of Raglan Castle, with it's stately ruins ......oh, and a tea-shop.

We suffered no more than damp and muddy feet....and some very dirty dogs !!!
