It was a cloudy but bright May day when 10 of us met for coffee, after which Mike Flack kindly gave us a tour of the magnificent gardens at Knightshayes Court, Tiverton.

After lunch we toured the house, a splendid example of mid Victorian gothic revival featuring extravagant designs by William Burgess inside and out.

We concluded this enjoyable afternoon with our usual teas and cakes.
