Today I passed through a plentitude of wild meadows, lovely to see, but triggered some bouts of hayfever. Also saw beautiful Tudor Alcester and a couple of interesting churches.
The feature picture shows the intetior of St Nicholas' Church in Alcester. Sadly I had difficulties uploading the Tudor tomb effigies of Sir Faulke Greville and his wife Lady Elizabeth, a Beauchamps heiress, a tomb Shakespeare would have seen. The pictures can be seen on the Facebook page.
The supplementary pictures are of an ox eye daisy the meadows, a 'very rare' gorse and hurdle and thatch roofed early 18th centuary building; the Horsehouse in Wixford, the Tudor buildings in Malt Mill Lane in Alcester and a quintessentially English thatch cottage in Broom
Please can I take this opportunity to thank my generous anonymous donor to Rainbow Railroad, who help to get LGBT+ people to get out of countries where they are persecuted. They are doing important work in Afghanistan at the moment. Thank you for supporting this important work.
