JOGLE Day 48 The Old Silent Inn near Harworth to Charlestown

With the words of Emily Brontë and lyrics of Kate Bush in my mind I passed 'Top Withins' the lonely former abode above Howarth that is said to have inspired Emily Bontë's book 'Wuthering Heights' and that in turn inspired Kate Bush's hit song 'Wuthering Heights'

After walking across lonely moors and dodging reservoirs, walking up and down steep valleys, I popped in Hebden Bridge to get food and came back on the towpath of the Rochdale Canal.

The feature picture is of woods near Hebden Bridge.

The supplementary pictures are of an isolated tree, more woodlands, narrow boats on the Rochdale Canal and 'Top Withins', the ruined property that inspired Emily Brontë's book 'Wuthering Heights'
