I left the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty today and entered my 3rd of 5 National Parks, Yorkshire Dales National Park.
After following the Bowes Loop I joined the main route through the notoriously boggy Sleightholme Moor. Wainwright said it was like walking through porridge.
At the top is the Tan Hill pub, Britain's highest pub at 1,732 feet. I was given a free pint of lemonade there.
Then down to lovely Swaledale and the village of Keld
