Day 9 on the Pennine Way took me the stunning waterfalls on the River Tees, High Force and Low Force and through bluebell woods. Then a contrast walking the derelict farms, reservoirs and moors, including the old farm of the Shepherdess Hannah, organic farmer who lived a subsistence life and became an unexpected tv hit with her down to earth viewpoints. Now the area is dedicated with lots of information boards. Her farm is privately owned. Her former neighbour introduced herself to me.
The feature pic is in the area Wainwright called the ungliest mile on the Pennine Way.
The supplementary pictures are of High Force, Low Force and bluebell woodlands
