Hidden Corners of Torquay

A group of 9 of us met at the Osborne Hotel, Torquay, on a beautiful crisp, sunny Wednesday.

Robin and his friend, Terry, used their local knowledge to lead the group along woodland paths and "Bishop's Walk" which afforded amazing views of the sea and scenic Torbay.

One of the many highlights was seeing 8 cruise ships - including the Arcadia, Ventura, Queen Victoria and Queen Mary anchored in Babbacombe Bay and the Zaandam and TUI's Marella Explorer anchored off Torquay.

Our picnic lunch was socially distanced in and around a sheltered seating area overlooking the bay at Thatcher's Rock.

We then followed the coast path towards Torquay, before heading inland and eventually back to Meadfoot Beach and to our cars.
