Godden Green Circular August 2015

What a terrific walk we had Alice and Judy led 26 walkers and 7 dogs through some splendid Kent countryside. The start of the walk looked like the weather forecast was going to be wrong as the sky was bright and many of us were in shorts and t-shirts. however as we passed Ightham Mote which is a Grade 1 listed house and parts of it are a Scheduled Ancient Monument so well worth a day out, The rain started to arrive so the middle of the walk was a tad wet and lunch for some of us was stood up under some trees. The afternoon part of the walk took us through the Knole estate and as were promised and the photos show we came across a few deer that were extremely tame. When it came to tea and cake time the rain had stopped and we were able to enjoy our tea and cake, of which there was plenty.

It was great to see some new walkers attend this walk along with some faces that we haven't seen for a while.
