Friday Street Jan 2015

what a great day 44 walkers and 8 dogs enjoyed to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of GOC Surrey. The weather was extremely kind to us although having lunch at the highest point in January proved to be a tad nippy after a while. The walk was described as flat if it wasn't for the hills, some called it an undulating walk and some called the hills certain names that I couldn't possibly print. However when the abundance of homemade and shop bought cakes  were seen the hills were soon forgotten and the minds focussed on devouring the fruits of the GOC bake off.  David kindly provided the tea and hot water and I believe he left with all the flasks empty.

Our thanks go out to all the bakers, Gordon baked the Anniversary cake, Gordon and Lee for the pictures and David for the teas

The first picture used in this report is of Patrick Mason and his partner David Wiseman who were the founders of GOC Surrey in January 1995

Hopefully see you all on the February walk

Regards

Pat 'n' Richard
