Expedition Exe

A beautifully sunny day on 23rd June saw 16 walkers set off from Exeter Quay to explore the area around the River Exe and Exeter Canal.

This popular spot is very well served with paths and cycle routes but the group were also able to explore around the river bank and in the many wildflower meadows that were flourishing in the area.

Lots of birdlife was to be seen around the river and canal. At one point 2 swans seemed to be interested in  joining the group but we decided to give them a wide birth and leave them to enjoy their sunny spot!
