On 20th April 2022, the East Kent group had its first shorter walk which is done at a more leisurely pace. It was just over 4 miles with lots of lovely views starting from Elham village which is between Canterbury and Hythe. There were 6 of us in total and we saw a lot of beautiful bluebells, wood anemones and some stitchwort. We walked from 1030 until about 1315.
After we finished the walk, we went to the Kings Arms in Elham for a pub lunch. Big portions at reasonable prices. Overall a great first short walk and let us hope we get more in the future. This was done midweek, but anyone wishing to offer another short walk, please choose a day of your choice. Unfortunately some of the pictures I took, such as the group one, would not download.
