Double Waters where the rivers Walkham and Tavy meet.

Meeting on the edge of western Dartmoor north of Plymouth, 13 intrepid walkers gathered for the walk co-ordinated by Roy and Ian. The weather was warm and sunshine strong as we headed off towards the two rivers of Tavy and Walkham. With views into Poldark country, thoughts turned to six packs and dark fur. Back to reality the walk followed a track to the junction of the two rivers in a wooded glen for a short break before heading upwards to moorland and another descent to our stop by the river for food and refreshments. Our return took us via an old packhorse trail up to the open Savannah and our cars.
