Dorset Group: 21 Feb 2019

On a mild February day our intrepid gang of 4 dodged the low flying balls and speeding golf carts to emerge onto Godlingston Heath with its commanding views over Poole Harbour and beyond. We descended through the heather to reach the meadows of Greenland with its many wild ponies.

Entering the remote and deserted Purbeck Forest we enjoyed the endless tranquillity devoid of man or beast. With far reaching views of the Purbeck Ridge we emerged at the golf course perimeter to find our way to the Clubhouse for some exquisite smoked salmon sandwiches and craft ale.
