Initially 10 of us met up at Kingston on a very dull morning with showers forecast. As we proceeded along the hilltop towards Houns Tout Cliff passing many cows grazing and glimpses of the Encombe Estate below, we were blessed with hazy sunshine breaking through.
At Houns Tout Cliff there were great views along the Jurassic Coast towards Weymouth and Portland with 7 Cruise ships still anchored up. We descended the very steep 130 steps passing many lambs and wild flowers to our lunch stop at Chapmans Pool where one of our brave members had a swim in the sea. On our way back up the valley we were joined by 2 more late coming members. After the walk everyone came back to the leaders house for a sumptuous tea in the conservatory.
