Dorset Group: 13 May 18

On a beautifully sunny spring morning a merry group of 14 assembled at our leader Dickie's cottage on the Laverstock Estate in deepest West Dorset. We were led through remote bluebell woods up to Lewesdon Hill for commanding views far across the countryside down to the sea. After a troll along the Wessex Ridgeway we descended into the pretty hamlet of Stoke Abbott for a very leisurely lunch at the local inn. A stroll down the valley through fields of lambs and highland cattle brought us back to Gardener's Cottage where we were treated to a sumptuous tea on the lawn.
