On arrival at the car park in torrential rain 11 intrepid dedicated walkers wondered if a walk was possible but then the rain stopped like magic and we proceeded on down across the fields to Church Knowle, we had to navigate our way along one path which had turned into a small river and also passed many snow drops growing in the embankments. We then walked up the lane to the Purbeck Ridge. Walking along the ridge we had spectacular views of Poole Harbour on the left and across the valley towards Kingston and the coast on the right. We dropped down from the Ridge to Corfe Castle were we all had refreshment at the Castle Cafe. After we had recharged our batteries we proceeded across Corfe Common back to Kingston and our cars. We then all went back to Laurence’s home for a sumptuous tea and a look around the garden.
