Whilst illness prevented many from setting out and Sat Nav issues sadly caused some to miss the start, those that arrived at the start point were warmly greeted by the lovely Andrew. The grey skies and drizzle cleared and the group enjoyed a varied walk around Ditchley Park and the surrounding countryside.
We stopped for a picnic lunch just as the sun made one of its brief appearances. The walk circled Ditchley Park, a favourite haunt of Winston Churchill during the war, giving the group varied perspectives of this fine country house.
Back at the cars the group were rewarded with tea, Dundee Cake and Shortbread homemade by our walk leader Andrew.
