What a super day we had on Sunday 11 walkers and 3 dogs met in Cheriton ready to take part in the walk that Pat was leading. We certainly walked some less trodden paths and hardly saw anyone else for most of the day. The rain held off for most of the day and we only encountered 2 very light showers in the afternoon. Some of the group elected to utilise the alternative finish from Cheriton Mill whilst the rest of us returned via the battle ground where the battle of Cheriton in 1644 is reinacted every year.
The walk was finished by a well earned visit to the Hinton Arms.
Next month's walk on Sunday 15 September 2013 is our Annual day trip to the Isle of Wight, Philip is going to take us on a 9 mile journey with a pub lunch at Newchurch, so don’t delay, add your name on the event page today.
