Calderdale Circular…. 27 January

... or should I call it the Mytholmroyd March.

15+ miles of pure pleasure in the stunning Calder Valley. Six hardy souls set off at 9.30am and enjoyed a day of some of the best walking Yorkshire has to offer. Covering woodland, bleak moorland, parts of the Pennine Way and Calder Way.

We climbed to the observation platform at Stoodley Pike. We walked along drainage pipes, we traversed the dam wall at White Holme Reservoir.

Finally our descent took in part of the route of the Tour de Yorkshire through Cragg Vale. Above all, we enjoyed ourselves.

Total walk time 6.75 hours, head torches not needed!! Thank you Alex for leading.

Simon.
