Just four intrepid walkers set out on a wet morning to explore Lustleigh Cleave. Luckily the first part of the walk took us through sheltering woods and the grey light perfectly lit the bluebells of the woodland floor.
As the walk progressed the weather improved and we were able to appreciate the meadows and moorland areas on higher ground. The sun eventually appeared and almost on cue the sound of Skylark and Cuckoos could be heard. We could also enjoy tremendous views towards Moretonhampstead and Dartmoor.
Descending again the group navigated the moss covered boulders in the River Bovey before making their way back to the start point of the 9 mile walk.
