Those attending the walk were surprised and delighted to be greeted at the start point by the founding South Mids Group Coordinator Alan and his partner David.
Whilst the car park was a mud bath the rain had stopped by 11.00am, however the winds remained strong and blustery but the sun was shining. John and Guy had planned an excellent route on good paths and a holloway in the rolling Cotswolds Hills around the Farmcote Estate and the headwaters of the River Windrush.
We stopped for a picnic lunch on a sunny bank with a fine view of a winter woodland. The group of 24 enjoyed the sunshine, good conversation and picturesque landscapes. At the end of the walk the majority retired to a local hostelery for a pint or a cuppa, where we continued to admire the scenery!
