Some reports just don't do the walk justice, i fear this may be one.
Traversing largely flat ground towards the southern edge of the Cotswolds, there were views, best described as pleasant rather than outstanding. Estate villages, equally pleasant, neither grand nor particularly historically significant. Formal parkland and field paths, easy walking. Yet, the overall effect came together to produce a very satisfying eight and a half miler.
Enhanced, it must be said, by the sheer good nature and friendlyness of all those taking part. But then, on a GOC walk, that's nothing unusual.
My thanks to John & Kevan for putting this one on.
