Nineteen of us met up at The Green in Priors Marston and headed off in the direction of Hellidon. There was light rain which petered out by the time we stopped for coffee looking back over the Warwickshire countryside.
We resumed, crossing into Northamptonshire and taking quiet country lanes into Hellidon where we were greeted by sunshine.
Our lunch stop was on the village green where these photographs were taken.
After lunch we walked through Hellidon village, stopping at the Saint John the Baptist Church and then back towards Priors Marston skirting the Golf Course near Hellidon Lakes. By then the skies had cleared enough for us to take in the views stretching as far as the Malvern Hills.
Once back at the start point there was time for refreshments at the lovely Holly Bush Inn.
By pure coincidence next month Andrew is taking us to the neighbouring village of Priors Hardwick.
