Alovely walk today led by the lovely Andrew. Beautiful countryside made all the better by the beautiful sunny weather, emerging spring flowers, and sheep and lambs in what seemed to be most of the fields.
15 of us set off from Priors Hardwick and were soon enjoying the rolling fields and summer sun, benefitting from the recent spell of good weather which made it dry and firm underfoot.
We stopped for lunch in the pretty village of Wormleighton, where Andrew enthralled us with details of the Village manor house, home to the Spencer family, before they moved on to Althorp.
After lunch we followed the canal for part of the way, before returning to our cars to find that lovely Andrew had made us an equally lovely Dundee cake and flasks of tea, to finish of a splendid day out with a very sociable group of friends.
