Meets in the Lake District, especially in November can be a hit or miss affair regarding the weather. I would call the Transpennine/Adventure Out meet to the busy Lake District town of Keswick in early November a bit of a miss. Still, we managed to climb the prominent hill of Cat Bells on the Saturday, the rain easing to showers in the afternoon. No such luck on the Sunday and we opted for a low level walk in Borrowdale from Grange to Seatoller, skirting either side of Castle Crag. The rain was heavy. Fortunately we could shelter in the Youth Hostel at Longthwaite for our refreshments and a break from the weather.
