Peter led 21 humans and 2 dogs through some splendid countryside covering 10 miles, we had sunshine, we had hail, we had strong winds and we had rain. Most importantly of all we had a great walk. Just as Peter promised there were a couple of tedious inclines which when combined with the mud certainly tested some of us. We stopped for lunch at Godstone Green overlooking the pond. The walk was stile free until the last mile and then we only had a couple. The walk was concluded with tea and cakes in the dry covered car park of Oxted Station. Our thanks go to the bakers and shoppers:
Ginger and cherry frangipane – Rupert
Fruit and oat biscuits - Robert L.
Chocolate jam teacakes - Robert C.
Bread pudding – Peter
Simnel cake – Gordon
Fruit cake – Fraser
Thanks also go to Peter for leading a great walk and Gordon for the pictures
