Dorset Group: 19 Apr 18

On a glorious day blessed with clear blue skies and no wind our friendly group of 10 (including visitors from Paris) set off from the Halfway Inn across Hartland Moor towards Corfe Castle. Having sneaked through the Paintballing skirmish wood without incident we reached the Swanage steam railway terminus at Norden where we enjoyed a Purbeck ice cream (manufactured very locally in Corfe Castle) whilst admiring the steam locomotive turnabout.

We returned through primose laden Norden wood passing deer, alpaca and emu to reach the Blue Pool. After a refreshment stop at the 1930s tea house we strolled around the tranquil pool to complete a beautiful spring day.
