Cornwall walk for the first time in 2017 around Looe
10 Jan 2017 | Cornwall, Women Groups
Our first walk of 2017 was attended by thirteen members/ guests plus four dogs. The dogs seemed to have an equally good time of it with plenty of opportunity to exercise as well.
This walk was certainly varied by both weather and scenery alike. The sun was there but a little to far in the background for most peoples liking!.
Whilst beginning by walking up Looe Harbour, a minor shower came upon us. Nobody was discouraged by this; not even our less frequent attendees.
Not too far into the walk we entered seemingly deserted woodland, eventually emerging onto less hectic country lanes, eventually arriving at Talland Bay where we had our first so called 'group picture stop'. Then came what could well have been the most hilly part of the whole walk with which nobody appeared to struggle. The reward at the top of this hilly part of the walk was of course the stunning views back towards Looe itself.
We had our lunch stop at a secluded cove whilst heading to Polperro. It was then time to return via what appeared to be both a frequently used and popular coastal path- by joggers, dog walkers and now ourselves!
About a mile in distance from out starting point when heading back we had the second picture stop which on my insistence together with a love of the sea, featured the sea in the background!. On that note, here's to many more great walks and other group activities throughout 2017.
