This was a 7.8-mile circular walk from Great Missenden in Buckinghamshire.  Starting from the village, the route went NNE to Lee Common, ESE to Pednor Bottom, SW to South Heath, then SW to return to the start point.

This walk was entirely in the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and included several steep inclines and declines, as well as lots of meadows, woodlands and signs of spring (which became known to us as “ejaculations of nature”).

We were taken aback by the high number of stiles on this walk, causing us to start doing impressions of Brenda from Bristol (“Not another one?!”).

There were four Grade II listed buildings on this walk:

The only church on the walk was the Methodist chapel at Lee Common, which, according to Wikipedia, was built in 1839 as a Primitive Methodist chapel and is one of the oldest Methodist chapels in Bucks.
