AOG Sunday Snowshill or snozell to the locals.

Awaking to showers was a little disappointing, but by the time 15 eager beavers, fresh from the dance floor the previous evening arrived at the start of the walk in the pretty village of Stanton, there was no sign of rain and it stayed dry all day.
After a photo call outside the impressive gate house to Stanway House the group started the long steady climb up the Cotswold escarpment, determined to get a good seat Graham was first to make it to the coffee stop.
Lunch was taken on the village green in Snowshill our third pretty village.  Here the group learned a little of the history of the Manor House, including tales of a “ghostly monk” frightening a lazy apprentice labourer!

The return to Stanton was nearly all down hill with fine views of the Vale of Evesham and the distant Malvern Hills.
