Afan Forest Park, Afan Valley

This was a seven and a half mile, figure-of-eight walk, through Afan Forest Park, on one of the more moderate and lower-level trails available to walk in the valley.  The first loop took in some iconic landmarks connected to the Welsh actor Richard Burton, including the house where he was born and lived, and the viaduct and aqueduct that dominate the area.  The second loop was through the beautiful forestry of the Afan Valley, following both sides of the river Afan, with a lunch stop with a beautiful view at the visitor centre.  This proved to be a lovely walk on a beautiful day.
