Fate provided us with a short window of reasonable weather between days of heavy rain for our walk to the dramatic Aber Falls followed by an easy ascent to the edge of the high land overlooking the sea and Anglesey. The falls, Rhaeadr Mawr and Rhaeadr Fach, were still in spate due to the rainfall of previous days so everyone was pretty impressed by the force and volume of water thundering down the near vertical cliffs. We were also fortunate in that we had just one short shower and the rest of the day was cool and moderately windy so everyone enjoyed the day's outing. The route back took us on a direct line back to Abergwyngregyn where some of us enjoyed a hot chocolate and welsh cakes to finish off the day and to plan further walks for the end of this year and early 2022.
