A racing start from Temple Guiting

Twelve good men and true arrived on time in the sleepy Hamlet of Temple Guiting for a 9 mile walk expertly lead by Brian and Peter, who waved the GOC flag in the car park to get us "under starers orders".

We walked through woodland, across open fields and up the gallops.  As the photos show, the horsing around wasn't confined to the gallops!  Did I say 12 good men? Make that 10 men and two "juvenile" delinquents!

We enjoyed some amazing views across the Cotswold Hills enhanced by the sunshine which thankfully had replaced the previous days heavy storms.  Some heard a cuckoo and all observed blue bells and the trees turning green.  Stops for coffee and lunch were accompanied by more fine views.

There was a constant buzz of conversation and everyone agreed that it was an excellent walk, so thank you Brian and Peter.

The good news is that this walk will be one of those available at this years South Midlands organised AOG at Moreton in Marsh.
