The reward for postponing from July due to 30 degrees of heat, was a sunny warm more enjoyable day. We were pleased to be joined by one brand new member as well as two others for who it was their second event. We saw Georgian and Tudor buildings and older, explored the Saltisford canal basin and discovered the final resting place of Enoch Powell. Luckily we missed the horse racing from the previous 2 days so we didn't get trampled on walking around the racecourse. We had the fairly hidden away restful Quakers meeting house gardens to ourselves. This being already familiar to myself and two other members. But it enabled us to sit and chew both lunch and the fat. Some of us did a little more of a wonder on the way back to cars and the train station.
