A circular tour of Leith Hill

Some of you may have been deterred from coming on the walk this Sunday, but as is often the case,  the forecast was not entirely accurate. Although we had a few spots of rain (not worth donning a waterproof) we had a good mix of sun and cloud and the cool temperatures were ideal for walking.

Robert led us on a well chosen combination of paths around Leith Hill with dappled shade and lovely views.  The walk culminated with the amazing vistas from the top of Leith Hill where a short descent returned us to the cark park.  An ideal pace enabled the twenty walkers to keep close ranks with everyone in animated conversation.

As normal a splendid choice of cakes accompanied our liquid refreshments at the end of the walk.  We thank our cooks and marketeers:- Robert L - cherry cake; James - lemon drizzle cake; Robert C - toffee bakewells; Justin - rich fruit cake; Gordon - plum cake.
