Thoughts from the Chair

If you didn't manage to make the trip to Canterbury to attend the Club's Annual Outdoor Gathering, you missed a treat! The University of Kent, sitting high up on a ridge overlooking the ancient city, provided excellent accommodation and delicious food for our members to enjoy. We offer a big ‘Thank you!’ to Aaron Speed, not only for his organisational skills, but for his 'ever present' attention, providing support and help to those who required it.

East Kent Group excelled by arranging ten walks for both Saturday and Sunday, plus extra ones for those who were still there on the Monday. We offer another big ‘Thank you!’ to the organisers and walk leaders. I apologise if this was not formally mentioned before. In addition, I would like to thank Graeme Brown who provided two cycling events over the weekend, plus Peter and Charles who organised the coach and rail trip to Dungeness. Both were well supported. I am pleased to report that I have received several positive messages from members who attended the AOG.

We are now looking forward to Northampton and AOG 2024, which will form part of our 50th Anniversary celebrations. So please get involved and make this a special year to remember!
