"I hope this message finds you well. My name is Jenny Germain and I work at the Public Health Institute, Liverpool John Moores University. We are currently conducting a piece of research, funded by Sexually Transmitted infections Research Foundation (STIRF) which seeks to investigate perspectives on men who have sex with men (MSM) awareness of PrEP (including of eligibility, compliance, access, online sourcing of PrEP and sources of information); the impact of PrEP on uptake and patterns HIV testing, on sexual risk behaviours, hepatitis C risk and awareness, and other STIs; the barriers to accessing PrEP, and complexities around optimal PrEP service provision.
We are looking to recruit MSM, as well as service providers and stakeholders to discuss PrEP from across Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield and Liverpool. I wondered if you would you be able to assist or advise on the project at all. This could be in helping to advertise the study or being involved in an one off interview to discuss your perspectives. Additionally, if you know of other non NHS services or groups, which could assist in this project then any advice you can offer would be much appreciated.
Please let me know if you require any further information.
I look forward to hearing from you.
