Are you someone who has moved back home after some time away in a larger UK city or abroad?

If so, I would love to speak to you for a piece exploring the LGBTQ experience of going back home.

The idea is to explore LGBTQ people’s experiences of returning – for the various reasons people do – to live in the locality or town they grew up in.

This might be somewhere you didn’t feel comfortable coming out in. You may have felt you needed to head to a bigger city to explore your sexuality. Or you may have left for reasons unconnected to your sexuality, but coming back has meant a readjustment or new experiences as an LGBTQ person. Maybe it hasn't mattered at all. That is potentially as interesting too.

Ideally, you will have returned to where you grew up; somewhere that doesn’t have a big LGBTQ scene (or didn’t back then).

To take part, you’ll need to be happy with your picture and story appearing in a national publication and I’m more than happy to talk through the idea and what will be expected from the off.

I have many years experience of writing LGBTQ stories. If you'd like more information I can be contacted via twitter.com/colincrummy or email homecomers@outlook.com

Thank you.
