Hello, My name is Burton Paul, and I am a Healthcare professional beginning a role with Bupa in the beginning of June as a Care Home General Manager in London. I am a 51 year old gay married man, and we live in Wales, near Hereford. I am searching for a Mon-Fri place as I will be working in London during the week, returning home over the weekends. As I was looking at joining Gay groups in London whilst I am there during the week, I thought to seek your advice on whether you knew of anyone in the group or not in the group who is looking to let out a room during the week? My ideal area would be near the home which is in Notting Hill....

Bright Future for London GOC

On Saturday 1st October nine people met at Chris and Andy’s house in Lewisham to discuss the future of the London group following Robert Finlay’s retirement as co-ordinator at the end of September. Attendees included Robert himself, as well as David White, former Chairman of the club.

The meeting was extremely productive, resulting in the formation of a team of people committed to taking London GOC forward and building on the good work that Robert has done the past five years. Our first priority is to continue to organise similar sorts of monthly events that have proved so popular....

July 2012… Floods of incessant rain, floods of events… then summer appeared!!

What a month July 2012 was for GOC London! The country was in 'drought' as we entered the month, though the heavens had failed to stop from the day following the hose pipe ban, back in early April, right up to the 20th of July, with cool, grey, miserable days, not at all summer walking weather. Four events had been planned, two around Pride, The London Gay Men's Chorus at Southwark Cathedral and the World Pride march, sorry, diluted to 'Procession', then a tough-ish walk over the Seven Sisters National Park and finally a tour of the Surrey Docks area....
