Do your own thing?

Do your own thing?

Just joined and can't find any local walks? Then plan a walk yourself!

Now's the time to start, as experienced members are on hand – with friendly member chats on the phone, email, etc - or try for an informal meet up.

Best to start small, test out a walk that seems `doable`, and pick a suitable date. Simple. Find a walk in a book or use your trusty map, reccy it with someone to see the practicalities – just ask another member. See GOC Guidance Next Steps for more details:

Don't be worried about competing with others. Now it's your turn.

This 50th Anniversary GOC is open for business with everyone, newbies wannabees, old hands, new ideas. All we need is just one or two walks a year, and you are off. See who else is around in your area, do a reccy with another member!

For details, go to the website and contact, in the first instance, the relevant Group Goordinator via the Group page.
