Website Redesign Update

The project is under way with Owen busily installing platforms and modules which will incorporate the rich functionality we are looking forward to using. To date we have a basic outline for the News, Reports, Events, Membership Management, Payments and Forums. I think you will agree Owen has hit the road running. Next steps are to create the initial layout and design of the website and to put more meat on the bare bones of modules already added.

Testing is some way off but we are already looking for members to help with this task....

There were so many outstanding photos from the Adventure Out event, Easter at Corruour, it was difficult to choose one winner. We eventually chose a photo by Erwin Hearst for this April's winning photo.

Rambling On At The Board Meeting

The Trustees met in London on the 7th April to discuss the future of the website, finances and incentives.

Top of the agenda was what to do about the website. The Trustees all agreed that the Gay Outdoor Club needed to invest in a new website that is easier to update, maintain and is fully compatible with hand held devices. We then reviewed the three proposals received in response to our request for proposals (RFP) issued in Feb 2018. RFPs were sent to 20 developers and our thanks go to Kingfisher Web Design ...

Women at AOG--Telford Fri to Mon 27th to 30th July 2018

I would like to remind our women members of the above event.

Disappointingly only 3 women so far have booked their places to stay at the University and one woman is also booked on the camp site--see information for that on the AOG webpage, .

I know I keep repeating myself but this is a fantastic weekend with some fabulous walks and lots of socialising.

It's especially great to meet women from other groups and/or catch up with women from the women only weekend.
