The sun shone for the whole day on Sunday and 25 walkers (plus 5 dogs) enjoyed a splendid walk led by Rupert. We knew we were going to have a good day as we tucked into coffee and cakes at the Cricketers Arms before we set out on the walk. It was easy walking with some of the route following the path of the Wey-Arun canal. We did see that “Beware of low flying owls” sign which is attached to a stone built barn. As you can see in the pictures we saw another note worthy sign concerning (C)ANAL CLEARANCE.
At the end of the walk we basked in warm sunshine and enjoyed a tasty picnic on the village green – we had three tables of food and drink. Thanks to everyone for supplying such a good range of food
