Senghenydd

Sixteen people and Max attended this circular, 6 mile, moderate walk around Senghenydd, Abertridwr and Eglwysilan Common, near Caerphilly,  There was an opportunity to visit the Aber Valley Heritage Museum and the Welsh National Mining Memorial Garden further along the walk, which proved quite emotional.   It was warm in the sun and chilly in the breeze.   After some initial great views and meeting the local Hunt, the weather closed in as we covered the expanse of the common, but improved as we descended.  This was a very enjoyable walk well led by the able Huw.
