Huw led a group from the Cwmtillery lakes out across the hills on a circular 6 mile route. It was cold at the start and the wind picked up as we travelled up the hills, and it hit gale force as we reached the tops. A short diversion gave us great views of the Skirrid and Sugar loaf mountains, but we soon climbed off the ridge as the rain and hailstones set in. After a lunch stop, we gradually made our way down the hills, passing another walking group, back to the start. We then made quick goodbyes as the heavens opened again.
