Cornwall Get Festive

21 of us took part in the Cornwall Festive Feast 4 women, 17 men and one dog, some skipping the walk, some joining us just for the walk and drinks before lunch before they needed to leave for a carol concert.  Before our satisfying lunch we took a short walk of about 3 miles from the pub where we had met down to Point, Feock where we were rewarded with spectacular views of the river.  The brisk walk back up to the pub certainly warmed us all ahead of lunch.  Once again the private boardroom was all ours with room for us all and the personal attention of the staff ensured we all enjoyed a variety of festive feast options.   Following lunch the group discussed plans for the begining of 2017 and volunters put themselves forward for the first walks of the new year that have now been included on our events pages.  Simon who has been group coordinator for the last five years was pleased that Paul Hawkins has put himself forward to take on the role as Cornwall Group oordinator, and the group showed its appreciation to both Simon for the last five years and in wishing Paul all the best going forward with a round of applause.
