Hi everybody! I’m delighted to report that the number of members who have booked to attend the AOG has now reached 158, which is splendid. But there are still some single rooms available and there are places available at all the evening meals, including the Saturday dinner and disco. So if you haven’t booked yet, please get your booking in as soon as possible. We’d love to see you!
Online bookings for the walks, cycle rides and other AOG activities will open on 1st June. As numbers are limited on each event we encourage you to book your activities as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. For the walks and cycle rides, there will only be a few places reserved for those who wish to book when they get to Lancaster, and these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
If you wish to take part in the caving or the Sunday coach trip to Sizergh Castle, you must book in advance either online or, if you are unable to book online, by writing to me at 7 Lilac Gardens, Croydon CR0 8NR, so that I can make the booking for you. In the case of the coach trip you must also enclose your payment of £10. Cheques should be made payable to GOC.
The club’s AGM will take place during the AOG at 6.00 p.m. on the Saturday. This is where trustees will be elected and resolutions voted on. Nomination and resolution forms appeared in the May edition of Outdoors. Completed nomination and resolution forms need to reach our returning officer, Graeme Brown, by Monday 5th June. Further details about the AGM will appear in the July edition of Outdoors.
If you have booked additional nights at the university, please send details of the nights you’ve booked by email to email@example.com so that when we do the room allocations, we can ensure as far as possible that you are able to stay in the same room. If you are not on email, please send the details to my home address above.
I look forward to seeing you in Lancaster!
